Meet Ashton, one of our up-and-coming pest control legends! 🐜

Young, driven and always wearing a smile, Ashton is one of the newest additions to the APC crew!

Ashton brings a fantastic attitude to work every day. He's the kind of bloke who's bubbly from the moment he wakes up right through to clocking off. Always happy, always keen to get stuck in and never short of a bit of positive energy!

Having recently completed his general pest control qualification, Ashton is already looking ahead to the next chapter of his career, expanding his knowledge and skills in the world of termites.

Meet Joseph, our Southern Highlands pest control legend! 🐜

Joseph joined the APC team back in February and has been a fantastic addition to the crew!

Based in Wollongong, Joseph spends plenty of his time looking after our Southern Highlands clients, specialising in general pest control. He's become a familiar, friendly face around the area and brings a great sense of humour wherever he goes.

Joseph is definitely one of a kind! A gentle giant with a funny personality and a wealth of knowledge on some pretty interesting topics. From ancient gods and mythology to all sorts of unusual subjects, he's always got something interesting to talk about. Get him started on something he's passionate about and you'll be amazed at just how much he knows!

He brings plenty of character, good laughs and a positive attitude to the APC team, and we're lucky to have him on board.

Thanks for being part of the team, Joseph! 👏

Meet Joel 👋

Next up is Joel, one of the friendliest faces in the APC crew and our go-to guy for pre-construction termite protection.

With around 10 years of experience in the industry, Joel knows the pre-con side of pest control inside and out. From new builds through to larger construction projects, he makes sure everything is installed properly, neatly and exactly where it needs to be.

Joel brings plenty of experience, a great attitude and is always easy to have around on site.
If Joel’s on the pre-con job, you know it’s going to be Mickey Mouse 👌

A huge part of the APC team and someone we’re very lucky to have with us.

Meet Adrian 👋

Adrian came to APC looking for a change of lifestyle and a completely new career. Pest control probably isn’t the first thing most people think of when they’re considering a career change, but Adrian gave it a go and has never looked back.

He’s been with us since the earlier days and has developed a genuine passion for the industry. Adrian enjoys a challenge, takes on new opportunities and is always keen to keep learning and improving.

He’s also been a huge help with our interstate work, committing his time and effort to helping me take on opportunities outside our usual service areas.

Adrian has become a really important part of the APC team, and we’re lucky to have him.

Meet Laura 👋

Next up is Laura, my first real admin employee and someone who has been there through a huge part of APC’s growth.

When Laura came on board, it was a massive step for the business. For the first time, I had someone helping answer the phones, book jobs, organise the days and keep everything moving while I could focus on growing APC.

And somehow, she stuck with me through it all 😂
Laura has played a massive part in helping take APC to the next level and turn it into the business it is today. A lot of what happens behind the scenes simply wouldn’t run the same without her.

A huge part of the APC story and an even bigger part of the team. Thanks for everything, Laura! 💚

Brandon has been with us for years and has become a true asset to the business, as well as a genuine friend along the way.

He’s our go-to man when it comes to termite management and termite protection, with loads of experience installing protection systems and helping keep homes safe from termite attack.

Reliable, knowledgeable and always willing to get the job done properly, Brandon is a big part of what makes our team what it is today.

Thanks for everything you bring to APC, Brandon! 🐜🏠

Meet the family behind Affordable Pest Control 👋
Before we introduce the rest of our team, we thought we’d start with the family behind APC.

From left to right:
Tayla Konzen | Michael Konzen | Shane Konzen

Michael has been working in pest control since the 1990s, with Affordable Pest Control starting in the early 2000s as a weekend job on the side.
What started small slowly grew through word of mouth, hard work and plenty of long days into the business APC is today.

Shane joined the business in 2011 and later took over the reins, continuing to grow the company while keeping it family owned and locally operated.

Tayla works behind the scenes helping keep the team, admin and day-to-day operations running smoothly.
Over the next few days, we’ll be introducing the rest of the APC crew one by one, so you can get to know the people behind the business.

Family owned. Locally operated. Built from the ground up.
