What is Eight Hours Day?

Labour Day (previously known as Eight Hours Day) has been celebrated since the 1860s and it all started in Brisbane by a small group of workers - ever since then the date has been marked to remember and reflect on why we as Australians (generally 😉) work an eight-hour day.

Some of the reasons it began was due to our harsh climate, physical and mental wellbeing and also our capacity to be better fathers, mothers, citizens if we don't over work ourselves every day.

It's important to be proud of hard work, but it can be extremely taxing on not only ourselves but the people around us if we don't have an 'off' switch ❤️

We just want to take a second to appreciate all Australians who work hard everyday to make our country as great as it is today 🙂
