We advise that roadworks will be taking place on Burke Street between Canola Street and Dransfield Drive to facilitate the construction of two wombat crossings on Burke Street as well as landscaping on the northern side of Burke Street.

Roadworks will commence 9th September 2026 and are expected to be complete within 5 weeks, subject to weather.

All construction activities will take place between the following hours:

• 7.00am to 5.00pm, Mondays to Fridays (inclusive); and
• 8.00am to 4.00pm on Saturdays.

During construction, Burke Street will be closed at Dransfield Drive and Canola Street to enable these works to be carried out safely. Access to Burke Street will still be possible via Bass Street. Traffic management will be in place throughout the duration of works to minimise disruption and manage vehicle movements.

On-street parking and access will be restricted during the construction activities.

New primary school for Oran Park

Oran Park is getting a new public school!

A new primary school is being planned for Oran Park (north of the town centre). The new school will accommodate 1000 students and will include 44 classrooms, 7 support learning classrooms, library, multipurpose hall and co-located public early learning.

An information session is being held on Wednesday 2 September where you can view the masterplan and concept designs.

The session will be held in the Oran Park Public School Library. Drop in any time between 4.30pm and 6pm.

An exciting feature art wall celebrating local culture will be created using 18,000 toy vehicles, for public display in the new Atura Hotels Foyer.

For a chance to see your childhood memory become part of Oran Park's legacy of public art, please contribute any un-needed toy vehicles.

Please note, the artist George Buchanan will select and modify toys. Chosen toys will appear different. Not all toys will be used. Excess toys cannot be returned to the contributor, but will be donated by the artist to charity.

New Improved Bus Routes come into effect on 5 July, including the relocation of the bus stop currently located in front of the Podium. The new bus stop will be situated in front of the new section of the Podium adjacent to the children's playground.
