The Reserve Bank of Australia has chosen to maintain interest rates in December, preventing borrowers from facing a sixth interest rate hike in 2023.

In their decision, the RBA board opted to keep the official cash rate steady at 4.35%, citing a range of data that signals that inflation is continuing to moderate in Australia.

The board acknowledged that the impact of recent rate increases, including the one in the previous month, is still filtering through the economy.

This announcement will bring relief to numerous households, who, on average, have endured an additional $24,000 in interest payments due to 13 interest rate hikes since May 2022.

Another one sold off market! 🤝🏡

I know that some agents out there get a little sensitive about selling properties this way and I can understand this for those that don’t service their buyers and only run a listing centric business.

However selecting the right agent to sell your property is about finding someone that is focused on helping you with YOUR real estate goals rather than theirs.

This lovely lady had been speaking to a number of traditional agents all saying the same thing about how they have the buyers and they can do this and how they can do that but in the end no one stopped to listen to what she was looking for.

In the end we had multiple buyers though this property, negotiated a great price the seller was excited about plus the longer settlement which was very important to her to allow the time to move comfortably.

Moral of the story, pick an agent who understands your circumstances and goals. DONT go with the traditional ‘over promising, under delivering’ type that can’t show you their buyers prior to listing your home.
