Today, this guy flies out to take on the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii!

🏊‍♂️ 3.8 km swim
Ocean swim through Kailua Bay. No wetsuit. Swells, current and thousands of athletes around you.

🚴 180 km bike
Straight through the brutal Hawaiian lava fields, up towards Hawi and back along the Queen Kaʻahumanu Highway. Heat, exposure and those famous crosswinds that can absolutely test you.

🏃 42.2 km run
A full marathon in the Hawaiian heat, finishing with the notorious Energy Lab before heading back towards Aliʻi Drive and the finish line.

That’s 226 km of swimming, cycling and running in conditions that are anything but easy.
