We have been made aware of a scam email currently circulating that falsely claims to be from Urban Habitat and contains what appears to be an “End of Year Financial Statement”.

At this stage, the recipients are not known clients of Urban Habitat, which has made the scam easier to identify. However, the emails themselves appear convincing and use a domain name that closely resembles ours.

One example of the fraudulent sender is:

Please note that this is NOT an Urban Habitat email address.

If you receive an email from this address, or any unexpected email claiming to be from Urban Habitat, do not open attachments, click links, or provide any personal information.

We encourage everyone to remain cautious of emails that appear legitimate but contain slight variations in the sender’s address or domain name.

If you are ever unsure whether a communication from Urban Habitat is genuine, please contact our office directly to verify.
