Winter Update from East Side Quarter

One of the things we're most proud of at East Side Quarter isn't just the buildings we're creating, it's the local businesses helping bring them to life.

This month marked a major milestone on Stage 4, with just under 1,000 cubic metres of concrete poured in a single morning. A remarkable achievement made possible through the collaboration of three Western Sydney businesses: Astina, Western Suburbs Concrete, and Wallace Concrete Pumping.

Behind every major pour is an incredible supply chain, months of planning, and hundreds of local people working together towards a common goal. From sourcing materials to ensuring quality, service, and safety, it's a reminder of what can be achieved when local businesses back one another.

As Development Director Matt Toohill shared, the vision has always been to integrate local contractors and suppliers into the ESQ journey. This project isn't just being built in Penrith, it's being built by Penrith.

A huge thank you to everyone involved. These partnerships are what make East Side Quarter so special, and we're excited to continue sharing the journey with you as PERLE rises above the ground in the months ahead.

Big news for Western Sydney and even bigger for Penrith.

With international flights now on sale from Western Sydney International Airport, including daily routes to Singapore starting this November, the region is stepping onto the global stage.

For East Side Quarter, this is more than just convenience, it’s a major shift in connectivity, opportunity, and long-term value.

Closer access to international travel, growing infrastructure, and increased global attention all point to one thing:

Hi everyone, Matt Twohill here from James Place with our March construction update for East Side Quarter.

Despite the wet weather, the team has continued pushing forward and we’re now moving into an exciting new phase of the build. Across the basement levels, we’ve begun erecting columns, structural walls, lift pits, and the bases for the fire stairs. The bottom core is now complete, which means we’re ready for Building L to begin rising from the ground up.

Looking ahead, once we get some clearer weather, the team will continue installing columns across the balance of the site. In the area where I’m standing, we’ll also begin constructing the ground floor slab for Building L, marking the transition from basement works to the structure above ground.

Over the coming months you’ll start to see the structure taking shape, with more columns rising through the basement levels and the building progressively moving upward.

It’s an exciting time for the project and we’re looking forward to sharing more updates with you as the build continues to progress.

Another big month ahead with Matt and the crew at ESQ Stage Four!

After wrapping up a huge month of basement works, we’re now gearing up to commence crane installation and begin work on the internal piles that will support the structure from the inside out.

It’s the final push below ground before we rise...kicking off the ground floor and building vertically through the rest of the structure.
