Most owners get put off by the winter for selling their home, though the most motivated buyers are generally out during winter.
In this Perth market you want certainty above anything else which motivated buyers give
So here are 3 things to do during this stormy weather to additionally prepare you home for sale
1. Roofing, gutters and windows. Address any leaks that are noticeable as they could come back to bite you on home open day or and building/pest/final inspection
2. Gardens and retic, the window will showcase any tress that could potentially cause damage to fences, cars or your home. Catch it early, just try not to remove the whole tree. As greenery sells. Retic wise with water bans just make sure yours still works. As last thing you want to do is in 2-3 months time find out something is broken and need an out of pocket fix at settlement
3. Heating and showcasing a “cosy” home. I’ve sold many homes in winter and the ones that resonate with buyer the most are the ones that feel warm, dry and cosy even on the worst of rainy days. The homes that showcase their best in the “worst” of wind and rainy weather capture the motivated buyers of it comes down to “which one do I actually offer my best price on”
Any question shoot me a DM
P.s I’ve already started this plan with 2 homes coming to market in June close to the coast. Quinns and Mindaire with another I’m hoping gets through unscathed in Duncraig, will then make sure the “cosy” factor is applied in full.
