🏔️ Christina is off to climb another mountain!

If you know Christina, you’ll know that when she takes some time away from Paddington Realty, there’s a reasonable chance it involves a backpack, hiking boots and a very large mountain.

Today, Christina heads back to Nepal and the Himalayas for her latest adventure - this time taking on Lobuche East (6,119m / 20,075ft).

The original plan was to tackle Mera Peak, however due to recent activity in that area, the itinerary has changed and Lobuche East is now the challenge ahead.

She’ll be away for the month of September, trekking through some of the most spectacular - and undoubtedly challenging - terrain in the world before making her attempt on the summit.

Those of us remaining at Paddington Realty will be keeping things running back at sea level while following her progress from a considerably more comfortable altitude!

We wish Christina and her team an incredible journey, safe travels and, hopefully, a successful summit. 🏔️🇳🇵

A slightly different office this morning… beautiful, sunny Toodyay. ☀️☕️

We’re in town completing the final key handovers and getting one of our properties ready for its new tenants - a beautiful property affectionately dubbed “The Pink House”. And if you know Toodyay, there’s a fair chance you’ll understand exactly why! 🩷🏡

It’s also a great example of the areas we work in for our clients. We manage a number of properties throughout Toodyay and the surrounding areas, from homes within town through to larger lifestyle properties.

There’s something pretty special about Toodyay - a fantastic lifestyle, beautiful countryside and still within easy reach of Perth.

With the handovers done, there’s just enough time to enjoy a coffee in town before getting back on the road.

That makes four consecutive years — 2023, 2024, 2025 and now 2026 that Paddington Realty has been recognised as a finalist in this category.

For a small boutique agency, that consistency means a great deal to us.

Behind the statistic is something much more important: properties being presented well, marketed effectively and leased efficiently - while finding the right tenant, not simply the fastest one.

A huge thank you to our owners for continuing to trust us with their properties, our tenants and prospective tenants for working with us, and of course our little Paddington team who make it all happen.

🔒 New AML/CTF requirements are now in effect. Here’s what it means for our clients.

From 1 July 2026, new Australian Government Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) laws apply to many real estate transactions.

So, if you’re buying or selling property through Paddington Realty, you may notice that we’re asking a few more questions or requesting some additional information and identification than we have previously.

Why?

Quite simply, we’re required by law to do so.

These new requirements are designed to help protect Australia’s property market from money laundering, fraud and other financial crime. As licensed real estate professionals, we now have additional obligations to verify our clients and better understand the transactions we’re involved in.

While it may mean a little more paperwork, please be assured that:

🟠 Your information will be handled securely and confidentially.

🟠 We’ll only ask for information we’re legally required to collect.

🟠 We’ll guide you through the process and make it as straightforward as possible.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as these new requirements become part of the buying and selling process.

There’s something pretty special about full-circle moments. 🍬🏡

This beautiful box of sweet treats landed on our desk this week from a client who has been with us almost since day one of Paddington Realty. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of leasing and managing this property, and most recently, helping guide its final chapter through a successful sale and settlement.

Even better, the keys will soon be handed to a first-home buyer who’ll begin their own journey there later this year.

We’re not sad to see this chapter close, we’re genuinely grateful to have been trusted with the entire lifecycle of this property and to have had such incredible support along the way. Relationships like these are what make this industry so rewarding.

To our wonderful clients: thank you for trusting us, supporting us and, of course… the sugar hit. Safe to say we’ve already started making our way through it. 🍫✨
