We are excited to share that our West Perth Hotel will shortly become a part of the IHG Hotels & Resorts family as it gains one of the world's most recognised hotel brands as Holiday Inn West Perth from this November. Huge thanks go to the amazing team at Next Story Group who have done an amazing job since opening the hotel in 2016, and guests can still expect to see all the same friendly faces on property. Exciting times ahead as we see the world re-open and the team welcome local, national and international guests as soon as possible.

Today we have unveiled a revised design for our Mos Lane development lodged with the State Development Assessment Unit.

A true labour of love, we have spent three years working with the local community, council and existing tenants in planning the redevelopment of this project. We now open ourselves and our proposal up for 28 days of further community consultation with the strong belief that the vision for Mos Lane is still as pertinent today as it ever was - to replace a tired, worn down centre that has reached the end of its life with a vibrant local neighbourhood precinct.

An inspiring canvas…

We are excited to announce that construction is underway on the first stage of our Leadlight Hotel project in Northbridge. Klopper & Davis Architects are at the helm of the transformation, with local builders Tricon now embarking on a 6-month programme of works to delicately refurbish these amazing heritage shop-houses.
Local food and beverage specialist, Miles Hull, of previous Little Creatures, Alex Hotel and Quarter Acre fame will lead the charge with a new bar within the heritage buildings, spilling out into a new alfresco area. Miles and his team will be welcoming patrons from November this year. We will keep you updated…

We are excited the Western Australian Government has adopted new design guidelines for the Perth Girls School Precinct!

The guidelines pave the way for the staged development of this iconic site into a vibrant and compact vertical neighbourhood and a blueprint for future living in the city.

We are very proud of our recently completed Social on Henry project - a collection of just 20 apartments in the heritage listed West End of Fremantle. Nestled amongst Perth most beautiful heritage listed buildings, residents of the Social will be within 200 metres of the beach, Fishing Boat Harbour, train and bus stations, and countless cafes, restaurants and shops. Great to hear the communities thoughts last night on how to improve and activate Lyric Lane in Maylands, to make the most of the great new venues that have opened up in the area. Looking forward to opening night at Lyric Underground music venue this Friday night!

It was interesting to hear people's thoughts at the "Laneway Open for Ideas" Workshop tonight on how we can better activate Lyric Laneway in Maylands. It was also great to see that the businesses and property owners in that area are very keen to be involved in the transformation and improvement of the laneway.

Some of the ideas that were raised tonight include having: festive lighting; greenery; alfresco dining; projecting art or a movie on the wall of one of the buildings; a farmers market; creating a place to relax and hang out; a climbing sculpture for kids; laneway events; and more.

The City will now compile and assess each of the ideas, and explore options to progress some of them, even in the near future (subject to funds etc).
