As the 2023 Supercars Championship season ends, we also reflect on our journey sponsoring Jack Le Brocq (JLB) and working alongside the dedicated team at Matt Stone Racing (MSR). It's been a year filled with lessons and parallels to our work in surveying - precision, teamwork, and resilience being central to both teams.

The thrilling highs and challenging lows of this racing season mirror the varied terrains we navigate in our surveying work. From JLB's pole position and race win in Darwin to the numerous top 10s and top 5s finishes, each accomplishment required the same meticulous attention to detail and accuracy we utilise in our surveying methods. As JLB shared, "Had some real highs, like the pole position and race win in Darwin and plenty of top 10s and top fives along the way."

Our admiration for the MSR team mirrors the value and respect we hold for each member of our surveying teams. MSR's unwavering commitment throughout the year, even during the final challenging weekend in Adelaide, mirrors our own determination to deliver precise results, regardless of the circumstances.

Not making it into the top 10 of the Drivers' Championship was disappointing for JLB, much like encountering unexpected hurdles in our surveying work. But as Jack rightly pointed out, “It’s a massive credit to all the guys here that kept punching on and got the job done." In both racing and surveying, we understand that setbacks are opportunities for growth and improvement.

As we look ahead to 2024, we're reminded of our shared values in precision, resilience, and teamwork, and we wish JLB all the best in his return to Erebus Racing for the 2024 season.

Here's to another year of dedication, camaraderie, and navigating both the racing track and the surveying terrain with accuracy and determination.

Le Brocq Fastest in Townsville Friday Practice!

Truck Assist Racing’s Jack Le Brocq has topped Friday practice on his birthday at the NTI Townsville 500.

Le Brocq was more than two-tenths of a second clear of the field in the afternoon session with a 1:13.432s at the chequered flag.

Cameron Hill was also on for a strong lap, however, ‘made a meal’ of the final sector, with plenty more time on the table at that part of the track.

Car #35 ended the day in 17th, only six-tenths off Le Brocq’s time.

Earlier in the day, the Matt Stone Racing team was joined by the NTI family and a number of other team partners to celebrate Le Brocq’s birthday in the garage.

Saturday’s action features qualifying, followed by a Top 10 Shootout and Race 16 of the championship, which will be 250km in distance.

Jack Le Brocq - Driver of #34:

"It’s great to start the NTI Townsville 500 weekend strong with the top spot in practice. The guys are doing an awesome job and I’m getting more and more comfortable in the car. We’ll just keep doing what we’re doing and hopefully convert that into a good result tomorrow. It’s also great to have my Race Engineer, Jack Bellotti, back this weekend. We gel really well together, we get along well, and he understands how I work, and likewise for me with how he works.”

CONGRATS ON YOUR WIN JLB!!

Jack Le Brocq (JLB) has delivered Truck Assist Racing its maiden Supercars Championship race win in an incredible day for the team at the Darwin Triple Crown.

It was already an historic day for the Yatala-based squad, with JLB scoring the team and his career-first pole position in Qualifying for Race 15.

In the preceding Race 14, the #34 Camaro driver was caught up in someone else’s incident on Lap 1 and incurred damage to the rear of the car.

The Matt Stone Racing crew worked hard in-between the two races to repair the #34, getting it out to take up the well-earned number one grid slot.

JLB put on a lights-to-flag performance, with the MSR crew also executing two good pit stops.

JLB secured a full haul of 105 points with the fastest lap of the race and the new Gen3 lap record at Hidden Valley Raceway.

JLB has moved up to eighth in the Driver’s Championship, with Truck Assist Racing also moving forward to ninth in the Teams’ Championship.

Truck Assist Racing unveils Indigenous Round liveries.

MSR Team Owner, Matt Stone said: “I think we have great looking cars this year and this Darwin round Indigenous livery really adds to that.
“The colours and the meaning of the artwork is really cool - I think the team have done a great job integrating the artwork with our normal livery.
“I’d say this is our best Indigenous livery yet, so we're going to keep it for Townsville as well because Townsville is the NTI 500 round and, of course, this artwork that Rhonda did was done to represent NTI."

NTI’s Head of Marketing, Jason Kibsgaard, said: “The Truck Assist Racing team have done an incredible job integrating the artwork of Rhonda Sampson that represents NTI’s people and brands - including Truck Assist.
“I love how the artwork has been applied across the whole car; there’s a lot of meaning behind it and the team have done a great job by respecting that meaning and ensuring it really does tell a story.”

Handley Surveys Return as Jack Le Brocq's Sponsor for 2023 Repco Supercars Championship

New Name, Same Adrenaline Rush!
Handley Surveys is proud to announce its return as a sponsor of Australian race car driver, Jack Le Brocq (JLB), for the current 2023 Repco Supercars Championship.

The Repco Supercars Championship (formally Australian Touring Car Championship) is the premier motorsport category in Australasia and one of Australia’s biggest sports. Globally, it is recognised as the best touring car category in the world and a leader in motorsport entertainment.

The 2023 season will be held at 12 different venues. The season started in March (Newcastle) and concludes in November (Adelaide) at street circuits. Sandown and Bathurst will form the enduro season.

Who Is Jack Le Brocq?
JLB is a renowned name in the V8 Supercars world and has been driving since his debut at Sandown in 2015. He currently drives for Truck Assist & Matt Stone Racing (MSR) in lead car #34, a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and is ranked 9th in the championship after 5 races. His best finish so far this season was in Melbourne last weekend, placing 5th.

"I am really excited to be back with Handley Surveys," said Le Brocq. "It's great to have them on board again and I'm looking forward to celebrating those podium finishes with the Handley Surveys team like we did back in 2017!"

The next race will be at Perth Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint on April 28-30. This is the second round between Handley Surveys and Le Brocq, with our first partnership going back to 2017 when he drove for Go Getta and MSR in a Nissan Altima
