Our fee is fixed for those who appreciate the service and expertise of a real estate professional but like to save money. Unlike traditional real estate agents we do not charge a commission based on a percentage

of the sale price of your property. We offer the full professional service for our low fixed flat fee - and that includes everything that agents on commission charge. Why a fixed fee service? We come from a very different background from traditional commission based real estate agents. Jillian Saint, principal and founder of Flat Fee, has worked as a taxation lawyer for over 20 years and believes it is time that a professional services approach was adopted in the Real Estate industry. We don't believe that the amount you are charged for selling your property should be based on how much it is worth. It does not cost a real estate any more to sell a higher priced home that it does to sell a lower priced home. In fact quite often the reverse is true. At Flat Fee we understand the marketplace determines property values and not the amount of the commission you are paying the salesperson. Commission fees charged on the basis of a percentage of the sales priced do not reflect the value or cost of the services provided by the real estate agent. How can Flat Fee charge so little for a full professional service? At Flat Fee our fees are based on providing a comprehensive professional real estate service. We know the costs our real estate business incurs in marketing and selling a property and our fees are based on those costs and a realistic profit margin. Our fees are easily justified. Perhaps the better question is why are the other real estate agents charging so much? Real estate agents spend much of their time prospecting for new business. For most commission based real estate agents, the hardest part of the sales process is securing the listing and convincing the vendor their fees are justifiable. We dedicate ourselves to servicing our clients. We don't need to convince vendors that our fee should vary with their selling price - our flat fee full service speaks for itself and attracts business.
