A new week at Quirky Owl and I am very happy to report that apart from a couple of minor drips in places where not too much damage can be done, all the work done by my landlord, George, his dad and the builders has made the building pretty water tight, which leads me to the point of this post.
I have mentioned George in the past, usually thanking him for supporting my little business by purchasing art, pots, coasters and cushions for the aart apartments. Most recently, I shared this big painting and pot which George commissioned for a new apartment.
You often hear horror stories of landlords, who seem to have no care for their tenants and take no responsibility for their properties other than collecting the rent.
If you drove past the shop at all the week before I opened, you would have seen that there was a lot going on. I won't go into all the details, but a huge amount of work was done in a fairly short space of time.It seems timely to thank George and his family for everything they've done here but also in the past and for being such decent, caring humans.
