What matters more when you’re buying — location or layout?

The truth is, both matter. But if you’re deciding where to compromise, I always suggest looking first at what you can’tchange.

You can renovate a kitchen.

You can open up a living space.

You can improve the way a home flows.

But you can’t move the house to a quieter street, closer to the beach, or into a neighbourhood that suits your lifestyle better.

That doesn’t mean layout should be ignored. A home still needs to work for the way you live now and into the future.

The best property isn’t always the perfect one — it’s the one where the compromises make sense for you.
