MAINTENANCE PERSON & GARDENER
PORT PIRIE LIFESTYLE VILLAGE
We are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Maintenance Person & Gardener to join our Port Pirie Lifestyle Village team.
This is a Permanent Full-time position for 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Remuneration to be determined on level of skills and experience held.
To be successful in this role you must;
• Be able to work flexible hours and able to attend call outs as required
• Supply your own reliable vehicle and have a current drivers license
• Have experience in property maintenance. Trade qualification, not necessary - we are looking for a genuine all-rounder.
• Have an ability to work unsupervised with a "hands on" work history
• Be hardworking, energetic, enthusiastic and possess a high level of fitness
• Enjoy gardening
• Have or be prepared to obtain a Police Clearance.
• Be prepared to complete a pre-employment Medical.
The person must be prepared to undertake a variety of maintenance tasks with a can-do attitude. In addition, the successful candidate will possess effective communication skills and have the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
Our Maintenance All Rounder will assist the Village Manager with the following duties but not limited to:
Maintenance
• Basic carpentry, basic plumbing & painting
• Minor concreting & paving repairs
• Gyprock repairs (large & small)
• General maintenance & repairs to residents’ homes and Village facilities
• Basic electronic knowledge
• Medical Unit testing & resident training
• Troubleshooting & problem-solving skills
Gardens & Grounds
• Weeding, spraying, and general gardening
• Landscaping
• Planting, pruning & fertilising
Pools
• Testing, recording, cleaning and chemical dosage
Administration
• General Maintenance administration
• Record keeping & updating
• Organising of Trades required
Other
• Other duties required or as directed
