Our poor old ( actually not that old) passion fruit vine is really struggling with snail invasion, not the big normal garden pests but these tiny little pointy buggers (Cochlicella Acuta). We have three vines in and they are all chewed with in an inch of dying. Nothing seems to stop them in their tracks .
We were gifted some fruit this week and I knew it needed to be turned into syrup. We mix this with soda water, my mum suggested putting it on ice cream, what’s your favourite way to use passion fruit?

April - Garlic planting time. 440 cloves planted and all are up and looking happy, this year we are trying Elephant (Russian) Garlic although not a true garlic it still has mild garlic/ onion flavour with much bigger cloves.
Our fingers and toes are crossed for a great season.

Our Avocado tree is loving life in the shade tent, fussy little buggers these trees can be! Too windy - dies, too dry - dies, too cold - dies, look at it sideways - dies!! We must be doing something right tho as it’s doubled in size recently.

Tasmania Pepperberry Tree - so excited to add this beauty to the orchard. Even more excited to use the leaves in cooking. Needing to find a female tree so we can harvest the actual pepper berries ( finding this a little tricky at the moment but I won’t give up).

It's that time of year again, the tomatoes are running hot and so is the stove top. Sauce ✔️ Relish ✔️ next up is passata. My only issue is we have somehow grown a ridiculous amount of yellow cherry tomatoes so the colour of said preserves is making my brain hurt 🤨
