🌾 Scholarship Interview Day 🌾

I recently had the privilege of sitting on the interview panel alongside Alex Davis for the Farming for Kids Dream, Believe, Achieve and Agriculture Into the Future scholarships, in partnership with Quirindi High School.

And I have to say, the standard of interviews was exceptional!

Five impressive young people put themselves forward, demonstrating confidence, maturity and genuine ambition for their futures. Their ability to articulate their goals, share their interests and discuss the steps they’re already taking towards their chosen careers was a real credit to both themselves and their school.

It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day of business, but opportunities like this are a great reminder of why being involved in our local community matters so much to me.

A huge congratulations to all five students. Quirindi High School, you should be incredibly proud of the young people you’re helping shape.

And a big thank you to Farming for Kids for the opportunity to be involved in such a worthwhile initiative. 🌾

A little piece of Quirindi history 🌾
55 years ago today! 🐂.

This photograph hangs in my office and sparked a conversation with a client. She took a photo and later messaged me to point out something I wouldn’t have noticed otherwise; it was taken exactly 55 years ago today. Fun coincidence!

28 October 1971 — Quirindi Municipal Saleyards, Special Store Cattle Sale.

Quirindi’s history is deeply connected to agriculture and the people who built our rural community. Fifty-five years on, agriculture remains central to the Liverpool Plains economy, supporting local jobs, businesses, families and services.

It’s funny how life brings people back around 🏡

After spending time with Sue and Craig helping them find their new home, I popped back today to put the sold sticker up. While looking through a family photo, we realised that I had actually gone to school with Sue’s girls and shared plenty of pony club and horse sports days with them all those years ago!🐴

Six degrees of separation or less… Congrats to you both! Debbie Arnold when are you visiting?

I’ve always thought that buying a home should feel like more than just signing contracts and handing over keys.

It’s a big moment. Often one of the biggest transactions someone will make in their lifetime and I wanted to give these purchasers something they could keep long after the paperwork was packed away.
