What’s happening at open homes around Australia today? 👀🏡

Ipswich has been very quiet this morning.

My first open home had zero attendees.

It’s a four-bedroom home around the $750,000 mark, which is still relatively affordable for Ipswich. It does have a minor flood overlay that affects insurance costs, but I still expected to see more first-home buyer activity.

While I was out, I also saw two other sales agents at their opens with little to no activity.

Then I spoke with a property manager doing a rental open in a nice quiet cul-de-sac.

Zero attendees there too.

That surprised me, because not that long ago a decent 3–4 bedroom rental could have 20–30 groups wanting to get through.

So now I’m curious…

Is this just Ipswich today, or are we seeing a broader shift?

💛 Today is R U OK? Day 💛

Most days, I talk about moving.

Moving home.
Moving forward.
Moving into a new chapter.
Moving because life has changed.

That is what I do for a living.

But today, I want to talk about another kind of moving.

The kind where we move toward someone who might be struggling.

The mate who has stopped texting back.
The neighbour you have not seen for a while.
The colleague who is quieter than usual.
The teammate who keeps missing practice.
The child who is spending more time alone.
The partner who just seems flat.

Sometimes the signs are easy to see.

Sometimes they are easy to miss.

But I think most of us know that feeling when something does not seem quite right with someone we care about.

And today is a reminder not to ignore that feeling.

Ask the question.

Are you OK?

You do not need to have the perfect words.
You do not need to fix everything.
You just need to care enough to start the conversation and be ready to listen.

For me, this one is not marketing.

It is not business.

It is from the heart.

Because behind every move, every home, every family and every story, there are people. And people matter.
