What does it take to earn the trust of an industry over decades? John Kearney, Director of Immerse Projects and Greyburn Building Contractors, has spent his career doing just that. The latest edition of Ocean Road Magazine explains how.
If you've spent any time around the South East Queensland property industry, there's a good chance you've heard of John. If you've visited one of his projects, you may well have met him too.
From the sell-out success of Rhythm Kirra Hill and Ombré Robina to the newest development, Kaiya Kirra Beach, John's hands-on approach, attention to detail and commitment to quality have earned the respect of colleagues, clients and buyers alike.

Changing buyer priorities are reshaping apartment demand.
For years, apartment buyers have been grouped into neat categories:
• Downsizers
• Investors
• First-home buyers
But according to a recent article in The Urban Developer, those distinctions are blurring.
Fouad Deiri, founder of Deicorp, a Sydney-based property development and construction company, told The Urban Developer that demand for apartments is increasingly tied to convenience, connection and familiarity rather than a simple trade-off between house and apartment living.
It's a trend we're seeing firsthand. Downsizers are seeking space and house-sized apartments without the upkeep of a larger home. Families are buying within the same communities to stay close to one another. Investors are placing greater importance on quality finishes and liveability, often with the intention of moving in themselves at a later date.
What many of these buyers choosing an apartment is no longer simply a property decision. It's about a lifestyle that keeps them close to family, established social networks, schools, cafés, shops and the communities they already know and love.

That means every apartment has now found its owner, but perhaps more importantly, every
resident has found their place within a growing community.
Over the past three years, we've watched Ombré progress from an idea on paper to a
community filled with people, pets, growing friendships and the everyday moments that make
a place feel like home. Seeing residents settle in, meet their neighbours and begin a new
chapter has been the most rewarding part of the journey. And hearing what their new homes
mean to them is what makes our work so meaningful.
