Are Russell Island property prices about to drop?
I've had a couple of people say they're thinking of waiting a few weeks before buying, expecting prices to come down.
And I get it. Nobody wants to pay more than they need to.
But Russell Island has had a pretty significant rise this year. Back in March, our median house price was around $435,000. Today we're around the $500,000 mark.
So, what happens next? Do prices hold? Settle back a little? Or simply level out?
I've noticed the calls have gone quiet. It feels like some people are waiting, but I'm not sure everyone knows exactly what they're waiting for.
The interesting thing is that even after the rise, Russell Island is still one of the more affordable coastal places to buy in Queensland.
So, if you've been thinking about a move to the coast, maybe it's worth having a look at Russell before waiting for a price drop that may or may not happen.
What are you seeing? Are you waiting for prices to come down, or are you keeping an eye on the right property when it comes along?
