Wongabeena Village would like to thank Community Bank Sarina for their ongoing support. We were successful last year in an application for assistance to help with the construction of four new units on site and as part of that grant, Community Bank Sarina has generously assisted with some signage on Brewer's Road where the new units will be built. Drive by and check it out.
A big shout out to Payne Print for a marvellous job on the signs and to the men who erected them. This company was a pleasure to deal with and we would highly recommend their services. Wongabeena Village would like to acknowledge the generous support of Mackay Regional Council for funding our new signs through their Community Impact Grant program. We have been working hard over the past twelve months to debunk the myth that Wongabeena Village is part of the Ozcare Nursing Home and we hope that our new signs will help in this regard. Our main sign will help locate our Village and the Site Map will be valuable for all visitors especially Emergency Services when they are called onto the site.
Wongabeena Village currently has 21 units fully occupied and plans at Council for the approval to construct 4 more units. The grant for our signs means that our dollars in the bank can go towards the new buildings. Enquiries can be made by emailing [email protected]

Wongabeena Village congratulates the Museum Committee and all volunteers who have worked tirelessly to orchestrate the reopening of the Sarina Museum. The Open Day today is a real credit to your passion and dedication to this valuable community facility.
