Stage 2 of this Branxton project — 5 years after completing the first stage.

There’s something special about returning to previous clients and continuing the transformation years later around the back.

This stage included sandstone retaining, slab pathways, reclaimed brick retaining and edging, custom golf cart access, gardens and fresh turfing — all completed in under 4 weeks.

A swale drain is designed to help collect and redirect surface water, preventing water build-up around lawns, garden beds, paving and foundations. It’s one of those important elements in landscaping that often goes unnoticed, but plays a huge role in protecting the space long term.

For this project, we used reclaimed brick to completely transform the finish. Instead of a standard drain, the reclaimed brick adds warmth, texture and character, creating a feature that feels timeless and blends naturally into the landscape design.

It’s a perfect example of how practical landscaping elements don’t have to look purely functional. With the right materials and detailing, even drainage can become part of the overall aesthetic while still doing the hard work behind the scenes.

This Branxton project is really starting to take shape.

The boys have been busy pointing all the sandstone, refining the overall finish and bringing the whole space together. We’ve also added a soft layered garden with Gymea Lilies, Cotton Lavender and Westringias, complemented by corten steel edging for a clean architectural finish.

The concrete golf cart access road has now been poured too — adding both function and flow to the space.
