From the Protective Fencing archives…

Long before websites, mobile phones and online quoting, this was how we promoted our locally manufactured fencing.

The machinery, address and phone number may have changed, but the foundations of our business remain the same: manufacturing quality fencing locally in Australia and supplying Australian industry and government.

More than 50 years later, we’re proud to continue manufacturing in Australia, and protecting the places and infrastructure Australians rely on.

Does anyone recognise the team members or machinery pictured?

A small reminder to check in. 💛

Today for R U OK? Day, we're encouraging our team to take a moment, have a break and check in with the people around them.

Sometimes a conversation can make a difference, not just today, but any day.

R U OK? Ask. Listen. Encourage action. Check in.

Things are about to get painfully funny… 👨‍🔧

To celebrate Father’s Day, we asked the Protective Fencing team to submit their best, or perhaps worst, Dad jokes.

The official judging is complete, but before we reveal who claimed Best Dad Joke and who earned the highly prestigious Best Worst Dad Joke, we want to hear from you.

Which joke gets your vote? Let us know in the comments, and remember, the bigger the groan, the better the Dad joke!

Happy Father’s Day from the team at Protective Fencing.

The mesh is only part of the system.

This Security Spotlight takes a closer look at PROMAX™ 358 with a UC Post configuration.

358 welded mesh, UC Posts, rails and security fixings work together to create a complete perimeter system for demanding security applications.

And because different projects have different requirements, PROMAX™ 358 can be configured to suit the project.

PROMAX™ T-POST®, purpose-engineered for security fencing.

Not every fence post needs to start with a conventional steel section.

The PROMAX™ T-Post® was designed specifically for security mesh fencing, combining structural efficiency with a practical tilt-up installation method.

At 12.4 kg/m, its engineered profile delivers an Ixx of 3,471,588 mm⁴ making smart use of steel where it matters.

Purpose-engineered. Structurally efficient. Designed for installation.

At ProFence, we manufacture and supply both T-Post® and UC Post systems, because the right post depends on the project, application and installation requirements.

Helping shape the standards that shape our industry.

Australia's approach to high-security fencing is evolving, with proposed changes to AS 5394 and AS 4100 providing greater clarity around high-security perimeter fencing and the steel structures that support these systems.

Protective Fencing was proud to contribute to the development of the draft standards, with Director Samantha Swain and General Manager Ben Gregson participating alongside industry leaders, engineers and standards committee members.

Bringing practical manufacturing and industry experience into these discussions is important. Standards need to work not only on paper, but in the realities of specifying, manufacturing and delivering security fencing for Australian projects.

We've taken a closer look at what the proposed standards could mean for asset owners, specifiers, contractors and the broader security fencing industry.

In a busy car park, a fence can do much more than define a boundary.

Thoughtfully designed fencing and barriers can help separate pedestrians from vehicle movements, define safer pathways and protect vulnerable areas within car parks and commercial facilities.

It's another example of how the right fencing solution isn't always about perimeter security.

Sometimes, it's simply about helping people move through a space more safely.

Protecting the legacy while building what's next.

For more than 50 years, Protective Fencing has continued to evolve, through generations, new technology, new products and an ever-changing Australian manufacturing landscape.

What hasn't changed is the importance we place on our people, our customers and manufacturing products we're proud to stand behind.

Being part of a family business means respecting what came before us, while continuing to challenge ourselves about what comes next.

There's plenty more of the story still to be written.

From water infrastructure to the local netball court.

Chainwire is one of those products you see almost everywhere, but the specification behind it can be very different.

PVC coated. Heavy galvanised. Different apertures and wire diameters. Each selected to suit the application.

Here's a look at some of our chainwire being manufactured and where it ends up protecting what matters across Australia.
