Some properties just have really good energy and the house we installed yesterday was definitely one of those!

I don’t know about you but I’m not doing any new year new me crap this year. Instead I plan to take 2025 as it comes.

No expectations.

No big plans.

What will be will be.

I want to get back to having fun. Seeking joy. Not the constant hustle to have this picture perfect life. I want a simple life with a happy family.

And perhaps a well overdue holiday.

That is all.

Even though I’ve been sick and resting as much as I can, there’s been some things in motion in the background that means big changes for my little business.

When I can talk without coughing up a lung, I will let you know exactly what this means.

In the meantime, I’ll be in bed with onions on the bottom of my feet… if you know, you know.

Why is icing cakes so tricky?

It was my daughter’s 4th birthday this week and we had her party today with a few close friends. Last night I made some cupcakes and went through two different types of icing because they were both failures. The first was one of those ready made buttercream deals but it tasted metallic and was probably pure cancer going by the ingredients list. The second curdled when mixing it which was strange.

Had to run out first thing this morning and get a third option which was just perfect. Total Goldie locks moment. The birthday party was a success and we found out my 4yr old can rock climb all the way to the roof with literally 10mins and a youtube clip worth of experience.

Then it was off to the Blairgowrie project for a furniture delivery because the tasks never really end when you work for yourself. I do love it though and I can’t wait to install this property this week!

So now I’m in bed, recovering from the aftermath of kids having way too much sugar. But really… what are parties for anyway?!
