The owners of this 70’s beach house were keen to finish what they had started when they originally purchased the property 6 years earlier before placing it on the market. Whilst they had put in a lot of work to update the house already, there were still a number of items to be addressed in order to present the house as a complete package, ready for holiday makers looking to snap up a turnkey Summer beach abode. With a baby on the way and busy jobs to attend to in Melbourne, the owners recruited Home & Hideaway to oversee and manage the trade work required and ensure the property was perfectly presented for sale. The renovations breathed new life into the property and the styling direction was in keeping with the bright and airy, 70s beach shack vibe.
Currently open for inspection each weekend throughout January and due to be auctioned on the 4th February, we look forward to a fabulous result for the homeowners!

This original, characterful beach house in Rye, was in need of some minor renovations and a style overhaul to appeal to today’s buyers. Home & Hideaway was enlisted to manage the tradework required and present the property for sale that would appeal to investors, first home buyers and holiday home seekers alike. The style direction chosen for this property was Modern/Retro, an eclectic blend of furniture styles infused with bold graphic artwork and colour to play up the character features of this home whilst still appealing to a modern buyer. A successful auction saw the property sell for $100K over asking price!
