We recently had the pleasure of working with Tim McIlwain, Managing Director of McIlwain on a problem 30 years in the making.
McIlwain had occupied the same building for more than three decades — a space that no longer served the way the business worked. The brief: secure a new home that matched the quality of the McIlwain brand.

We started with Workplace Strategy to define what McIlwain actually needed, then brought in our Occupier Advisory and Fitout Delivery teams to secure the space and deliver a custom fitout built around it — laying the foundation for a stronger culture and an outstanding business.

Our thanks to Tim and the McIlwain team for backing us across the full journey, and to the team at BLOK Design Co. who worked alongside our designers to deliver what we think is an outstanding outcome.

When a client hands you the keys to their entire commercial property journey, you want to get it right. We have the privilege of interviewing Scott Clements, Managing Director of Inertia Engineering, on how his experience was with TACTIC.

Inertia’s new Brisbane Head Office in South Bank was a full-scope engagement for Team TACTIC. We shaped the workplace strategy, conducted the property search, sat at the negotiating table on their behalf, and designed and delivered their office fitout.

We recently walked through the finished space with Scott. Good to stand in a completed office with a client and trace the whole thing back to that first inspection.

The brief: find a long-term home in Brisbane that matched what Inertia has become - a Queensland practice of more than 20 years now growing nationally. Then, build a workplace that carries their team and culture into that next chapter.

There’s a particular kind of pressure in being trusted by a room full of engineers to deliver their own office environment, and a particular kind of satisfaction when it lands. Thank you to Scott and the Inertia team for the trust, the collaboration and for keeping us honest the whole way through.

🎂🎉 TACTIC turns FIVE 🎉🎂

It was a huge milestone for the TACTIC team last week as we celebrated our 5 year anniversary.

Starting a company that was solely focused on office space in 2020, right as COVID-19 began, was certainly no easy feat.

However, five years later and here we are in our state-of-the-art, working showroom on level 33 of Riparian Plaza, with expert teams right across the country as we continue our mission to become Australia's leading end-to-end workplace advisory service.

What a remarkable journey the past 5 years has been.

Being a transformative and fast-growth business that is leading an industry definitely comes with its challenges but with the right team members and disciplines in place, those challenges are mere speed bumps on the road to success.

We have created a culture here at TACTIC where our people not only rise to every challenge but an environment where their focus on empowering businesses through strategic and optimised work environments, creates an unwavering sense of impact and purpose.
