Change of pace on Friday!
It was a great way to start a Friday with positivity and colour!
This week I had the pleasure of representing Reservoir Village as Centre Manager at the Reservoir Primary School and Darebin City Council’s Safe Routes to School event — and what a fantastic morning it was!
We were proud to see the official opening by Darebin Council Mayor Cr Kristine Polaris of “Legs Lane”, featuring the colourful and creative Legs the Octopus footpath decals 🐙, designed to make walking and riding to school safer, more fun, and easier to navigate.
It was inspiring to see the beautiful new mural unveiled, celebrating local culture and connection — a perfect backdrop to a program that’s all about safer, more vibrant neighbourhoods.
Building strong, safe communities takes a village — and we’re proud that Reservoir Village gets to be part of it.
Bakers Delights Marlise and David baked up a storm and Reservoir Village handed out popcorn, but what really stood out was the incredible manners from the Students at Reservoir Primary School.
So many cheerful please and thank you’s a lovely reminder that just like the popcorn on Friday morning - manners are free!
Great work Darebin City Council Marc Chung and Team!
