🛑 NEW WEBSITE IS LIVE TOMORROW! 🛑

If you've ever considered hosting a Tiny House on your property, there's a good chance this question has crossed your mind:

"What if I end up with the wrong tenant?"

Honestly, that's a fair concern.

For most hosts, this isn't just a rental arrangement. You're inviting someone to live on your property, often closer to your home than a traditional rental would be.

That's exactly why we put so much emphasis on screening.
Before a tenant is introduced to a host, we undertake identity verification, reference checks, background checks, and a detailed assessment.

A successful Tiny House tenancy isn't just about the site itself.

It's about compatibility.

Over the years, we've helped facilitate hundreds upon hundreds of placements, and one thing we've learned is that taking the time to find the right match upfront makes all the difference.

No screening process can guarantee perfection, and we'd never pretend otherwise.

What we can do is dramatically reduce the risk and provide both hosts and tenants with the tools, resources, guidance, and documentation needed to start the arrangement on the strongest possible footing.

In fact, many of our hosts tell us afterwards that the process was far less daunting than they expected.

The people living in Tiny Houses are often professionals, retirees, single parents, couples, tradespeople, healthcare workers, and everyday Australians simply looking for a more affordable and intentional way of living.

Our platform continues to attract high calibre tenants because they’re looking for all the same things you are- safety, checks and balances, and accountability.

But in the extremely rare event you and your tenant don’t hit it off once they move in? Our lease has a clause allowing you to give them 60 days written notice to your tenant, and we’ll support them to secure an alternate property. Simple.

If you’re going to host a Tiny House tenant, using a professional service like ParkMyTinyHouse is the safest way to do that.

We have you covered, so start TODAY before the price increases TOMORROW!

🌟 2 DAYS TIL NEW WEBSITE!! 🌟

One of the biggest misconceptions we see is that a property needs to be large, rural, or highly developed to attract a Tiny House tenant.

That's often not the case.

Some of our most sought-after listings are simply private spaces in locations where people genuinely want to live. Sure, some are countrysides with rolling hills and views for days, but many are also outer suburban fringes that make commuting possible.

The average host on our platform earns more than $10,000 per year in rental income, and many tenancies continue for several years- that's often $20,000-30,000 over the average two year lease!!

Unlike short-stay accommodation, there are no constant guest changeovers, cleaning schedules, booking enquiries, or weekend disruptions.

For many hosts, it's simply a stable, long-term income stream from land they weren't otherwise using.

Demand for suitable Tiny House sites continues to significantly exceed supply across many parts of Australia.

If you've ever wondered whether your property could be suitable, there's only one way to find out.

Submit an application and we'll take a look.

✨ 3 DAYS TIL NEW WEBSITE! ✨
Over the years, we’ve spoken with thousands of people who have considered hosting a Tiny House on their property.

Interestingly, most don't say no.

They say "maybe later."

They're interested, but they're waiting until they have more time. More certainty. More information. Better fencing. Better access. Better photos.

The reality is that very few properties are perfect.

Many of our most successful hosts started with exactly the same concerns you're probably thinking about right now.

Can a Tiny House actually get onto my property?

Will someone want my location?

What if I choose the wrong tenant?

These are all questions we help hosts work through every day.

You don't need to have everything figured out before you submit an application. That's what we're here for.

If you've been sitting on the fence for a while, perhaps the better question isn't whether your property is perfect.

Perhaps it's whether there's actually anything stopping you at all.

If you'd like us to assess your property, just email us the address for an instant eligibility yes or no (send to [email protected])

NEW WEBSITE IS ALMOST HERE!!
Yes, it's finally happening.

After what feels like a very long wait (if you know, you know!), we're now just days away from launching our brand-new ParkMyTinyHouse website!! 🎉

This has been one of the BIGGEST projects we've ever undertaken, and we're incredibly excited to finally share it with you.

The new website includes more publicly available resources, more educational content, clearer guidance on getting started, and answers to most of the questions we receive daily about Tiny House living and renting land.

For our members and hosts, we've also significantly expanded the Resource Hub, with more practical tools, resources, guidance, and detailed legislation breakdowns covering every state and territory in Australia!

In short, we've invested HEAVILY in creating what we believe will be Australia's most comprehensive Tiny House information and support platform. ✨

As part of the new website launch, we'll also be implementing our updated host pricing structure.

This isn't a new announcement. We originally advised our community back in January that pricing changes would be coming in 2026. However, as the website project took longer than anticipated, we chose to delay the increase and continue honouring our existing pricing structure.

With the new website now ready to launch, the updated pricing will come into effect on Wednesday next week.

We know that any price increase can be frustrating, so we wanted to take a moment to explain why this change is necessary and what it means for our hosts.

ℹ️ Our pricing hasn’t changed in almost three years.

When ParkMyTinyHouse first launched, our goal was simple: make it as easy as possible for landowners to participate and help grow the Tiny House movement in Australia.

For almost three years, our host listing fee has remained unchanged at $295.

During that time, we've helped place hundreds upon hundreds of Tiny House tenants, built a community of tens of thousands of followers, refined our screening processes, expanded our support resources, improved our lease documentation, and invested heavily in growing awareness of Tiny House living across Australia.

Like every business, our operating costs have increased significantly over that period. The reality is that continuing to offer the same service at the same price is no longer sustainable.

⚖️ A fairer, tiered pricing structure

Rather than applying a flat increase across all properties, we've chosen to introduce a tiered pricing structure based on the weekly rental amount being advertised.

Importantly, hosts advertising sites under $150 per week will see no increase at all.

We recognise that regional and lower-priced sites can sometimes take longer to find the right tenant, and we want to continue encouraging landowners in these areas to participate.

For higher-value sites in premium locations, fees will increase to better reflect both the income potential of those properties and the value of the service being provided.

Our highest pricing tier will be $595 for sites advertised at more than $250 per week.

But let’s zoom out a bit.

The average host on our platform earns more than $10,000 per year in rental income from hosting a Tiny House tenant.

Many tenancies extend well beyond two years, meaning hosts often receive $20,000-$30,000+ or in rental income from a single placement! 😮

When viewed in that context, we believe a one-off upfront fee of $595 remains extremely reasonable.

It represents approximately two weeks' rental income, on and is often recovered within the first fortnight of a tenancy.

Most hosts spend more on a weekend away, a trailer load of firewood, or a minor farm repair than they do on a listing that may generate tens of thousands of dollars in rental income over the following few years.

🛑 Important note: we don’t charge any ongoing fees

One of the things that makes our model different is that we don't charge ongoing management fees, monthly commissions, lease renewal fees, or a percentage of your rental income.

Once your listing fee is paid, there are NO ongoing charges from us for the duration of the tenancy. 😇

Our role is to help you find the right tenant, provide screening and support throughout the process, and equip both parties with the resources needed to establish a successful long-term arrangement.

Now is the time to lock in current (2023 🫠) pricing!!

If you've been considering listing your property, NOW is the time.

Current pricing will remain available until the launch of our new website next Wednesday. Once the new pricing structure takes effect, all new host applications will be charged under the updated fee schedule.

We remain incredibly grateful to the thousands of landowners who have trusted us over the past five years. Every host who lists their property helps create affordable housing opportunities for Tiny House owners across Australia, and we look forward to continuing that mission together for many years to come.

Fact: making the transition to Tiny House life isn’t actually that complicated.

But we fear what we don’t know, and taking that step into the unknown can be scary!

I’ve lived in Tiny Houses full time for 8 years now, and have helped thousands of people make the move into Tiny living too.

It’s not so scary when you realise you’re not alone, and there’s a whole community of people just like you with the same end goal.

Starting Tiny House life doesn’t have to be hard. I know- I’ve lived in them for 8 years and it’s been life-changing in the best way! Follow and I’ll show you what I mean.

With the rising cost of land in Australia, more and more people are shelving their plans to live in a Tiny House because they can’t afford to buy land to put one on.

But this doesn’t have to be the case!

THOUSANDS of people now rent land from private land owners! (Including me)

It’s a simple and straightforward solution to getting into a Tiny House and reducing your overheads- which gives you so much disposable income you can save and buy your own land so much faster than any other method!

And who knows, once you’re on your own land, you could even choose to give someone else a leg up by hosting them in their Tiny House too.

So how do you connect with these land owners and find out more?

SYDNEY EXPO WRAP 🎪

The rain cleared and it turned out to be a CRACKER of a weekend!

Huge crowds, lots of excitement, and lots of fab conversations.

My favourites were the ones where people came to me after being told by others online that finding land is impossible.

Why? Because I watched their eyes light up and their demeanour change when I shared what we’re seeing across NSW- that site rentals are easier to find here than anywhere else in Australia, with a current total of 26 listings on our website right now!!

This is what happens when full time Tiny House living is supported by government policy, in a region with the least affordable housing in Australia..

But let’s talk Tiny Houses!

Some BEAUTIFUL new Tiny House builds caught my eye!!

My favourite this weekend was definitely the updated Kookaburra by .tinyhomes. Ok yes the huge downstairs kitchen, living and family space is beautiful and practical and all that.. but OMG that bathroom!!

Full size bath, huge vanity, room for a full wardrobe.. it’s a space that can only be described as a dream walk-in closet and changing space!

Who says you have to give up your baths when you go Tiny?!
It’s obvious why this home was a finalist in the Best Design category in last year’s Tiny House Awards 🥈

The other house I kept gravitating towards over the weekend was the new Cassowary model by .

Similar dimensions to my own Tiny at 9.6m long x 2.5m wide, this single level model has a super practical layout, great kitchen with breakfast bar, room for a real couch, and even a home office nook! It’s the perfect home for a single person, couple or retiree.

But I can’t lie though- while I love the layout, it’s the price point I can’t get over.. an expo special of only $120k!! That’s WELL BELOW what other companies are selling similar models for.

Well worth a look, and again explains why Freedom were finalists in the Best Budget Builder category of last years Awards 🥈

Which of these was your fave?
Which homes would you like to see a full video tour of? (I have them all 😉).
