There’s something about being away from home that makes you see it differently.
You notice things you probably wouldn’t notice when you’re living your normal, busy life.
The way people use their homes.
The importance of outdoor space.
The little cafés and places people gather.
The walkability.
The architecture.
The feeling a neighbourhood gives you.
And, inevitably, I find myself comparing it all to Perth.
After almost three decades in real estate, I can’t seem to switch that part of my brain off! 😂
But perhaps that’s not such a bad thing.
Because property has never really been about four walls and a price to me.
It’s about how people live.
And being away has reminded me just how much I love that part of it.
I’m enjoying seeing the world, taking a breath and looking at things from a different perspective.
And yes… I’m still keeping an eye on Perth from afar. 🤍
Sometimes a little distance gives you a much better view...
