Our Chinchilla office has introduced a new Milestone Recognition Plaque, celebrating the dedication and long-term contribution of our team members.
The plaque proudly recognises employees as they reach 3, 5, 7 and 10 years of service with DSQ, providing a lasting acknowledgement of the people who have contributed their skills, experience and commitment to our Chinchilla team over the years.
A special thank you to Lucas, Adam and Bruce, who organised the plaque and brought the idea to life.
It’s fantastic to see so many familiar names already displayed, and we look forward to adding more as our team members continue to reach new milestones with DSQ.

Our 2025 EcoBiz assessment delivered a fantastic result. Compared with our 2017 baseline, DSQ has:

🚩 Last week, DSQ proudly supported MATES in Construction and by Flying the Flag 🚩

We believe a safe workplace is about more than physical safety. It’s also about creating an environment where people feel supported, conversations about mental health are encouraged, and our mates know they don’t have to struggle alone. We’re fortunate to have Directors who genuinely support mental health and wellbeing within our workplace, along with two MATES-trained Connectors within the DSQ team who are equipped to recognise when someone may be struggling and help connect them with support.

We held a morning tea on Friday as an opportunity to connect, check in and start conversations that matter.

With more than three-quarters of Australians who died by su***de in 2024 being male, initiatives such as Fly the Flag are particularly important within male-dominated industries like ours.

So, check in with your mates. Start the conversation. Reach out when you need to. You don’t need to have all the answers to make a difference. Sometimes, you just need to be there.

After nine months of preparation, the Covey Longhorns are ready to hit the road for the 2026 Endeavour Rally! 🚗

DSQ is proud to be among the sponsors supporting the team, who have achieved an incredible milestone by raising more than $103,000 — a record fundraising amount for an individual Endeavour Rally team.
Their “Longhorn Hauler” has undergone an impressive transformation ahead of the journey, with extensive mechanical work and upgrades, new safety equipment and a custom vinyl wrap showcasing the Covey family’s beekeeping history. DSQ is very proud to be featured on the bonnet as a sponsor!
The team heads to Toowoomba on Friday, 4 September for vehicle scrutineering and pre-rally events before officially heading west on Saturday morning.
DSQ is delighted to support such a fantastic effort and wishes the Covey Longhorns a safe and successful journey. Congratulations to the entire team on an extraordinary fundraising achievement!

We recently teamed up with Ocebile on a flood modelling survey of a river in South East Queensland.

We flew the DJI M400 with the L3 LiDAR payload to capture the terrain above water, while Ocebile's Australian-built McBathy remote survey boat ran single-beam sonar below the surface. The LiDAR data also lets us classify and strip out vegetation in post-processing, so the riverbanks come through as a true ground surface rather than tree canopy and undergrowth.

Stitching the two datasets together gave us a single Digital Elevation Model that extends from the riverbanks down to the bed, with no gap at the waterline. The combined approach is more accurate and efficient than traditional ground-based methods, with denser coverage of both the banks and the bed than crews on foot could reasonably collect.

Flood modelling depends on what's under the water as much as what sits above it. Accurate hydraulic models need both, and pairing aerial LiDAR with remote bathymetry covers the full picture in a single mobilisation.

We'll be using the same approach on upcoming projects where the LiDAR and bathymetric datasets need to form one continuous surface.
