Two stylists. Six questions. Two different perspectives. We thought we’d give you a little insight into the minds behind List Ready Homes 😊

When you engage us for soft styling, you’re getting two sets of eyes, two different creative perspectives and two ways of looking at the same space.

We sometimes bring different ideas to the table and that’s exactly what makes the process work. Because great styling comes from looking at what’s already there, understanding the home and working out what to add, what to leave alone and what will bring everything together.

Every property has a different starting point and the styling strategy should reflect that.

Character homes. Older homes. New builds. Retirement properties. Beautifully presented homes that need the final layer. Or homes with the right foundations that need stronger visual cohesion before going to market.

We assess what’s already working, what’s distracting and what will have the greatest impact. Then we use styling to strengthen the presentation.

Sometimes that’s repositioning what’s already there. Sometimes it’s adding artwork, rugs, lighting, greenery or carefully selected layers.

The goal isn’t to make every property look the same. It’s to make each home look like the best version of itself, while still feeling homely, inviting and easy for a buyer to connect with.

You don’t always need to replace what you already have. You need to know how to work with it.

This home had a strong green sofa upstairs and a bold red sofa downstairs. Rather than treating either colour as a problem, we used them as part of the design direction, as they both had to stay.

For the green, we introduced artwork and styling that picked up the colour, then carried subtle touches through the adjoining spaces. We took the same approach downstairs with the red.

The result isn’t a series of rooms competing for attention. The colour becomes a thread that moves through the home, creating connection and a more natural overall feel.

That’s the difference between simply adding accessories and actually styling a home for sale.

We always say it’s the little things that make all the difference. The artwork, the textures, a beautifully styled corner or just those finishing touches that make a room feel complete.

We’re always thinking about how a buyer is going to feel when they walk through a home, because that emotional connection is such a big part of styling to sell.

FRIDAY FUN FACT ✨

Art is such a fundamental part of how we style a home, and it’s something we really take the time to get right.

Today in Noosa Heads, we brought in seven carefully selected pieces, all working together to tell a cohesive story throughout the home.

Relaxed, coastal and calm, but with that elevated finish we love. It’s amazing how the right art can completely change the feeling of a space.

Today we were in beautiful Peregian Springs.

This home was already immaculate, with an incredible base to work with. Our vendors engaged us to bring our years of experience and styling expertise to elevate the home to that next level ahead of market.

Here are a few of the before & afters, a beautiful example of what considered soft styling can bring to a space. ✨

Today Kim and I met with our lovely client to chat through their vision, take measurements and get a feel for the home, its location and surroundings.

Then the fun part… sourcing! Finding those perfect pieces that will work beautifully in the space, with the all-important comfort test, of course!

✨ Come along with Kim & I for today’s beautiful install in Kiamba… with the most breathtaking views over The Wappa Dam. ✨

These wonderful vendors first engaged us for a one-hour Pre-Sale Styling Consultation, and then invited us back to complete a full-home Soft Styling Overlay ahead of their upcoming sales campaign.

Our clients had ticked off every recommendation from their consultation, giving us a beautifully clean palette to work with. From there, we carefully selected artwork, soft furnishings and styling pieces specifically for this property, including artwork chosen to complement those incredible vistas and help bring the colours and feeling of the outdoors in.

That’s one of the things we love most about being a boutique styling service. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach or simply using whatever stock happens to be available. We take the time to consider the home, its surroundings, its existing features and the feeling we want buyers to experience when they walk through the door.

Every home is different, and we believe the styling should be too.
