Housing has become one of the biggest economic and political conversations in Australia and the proposed changes in the Federal Government’s 2026 / 2027 Budget could have long-term implications for homeowners, investors, and strata communities across NSW.

Today, we celebrate the people who help shape our communities in ways both big and small. 💐

At Strata Plus, we know that strong communities are built on care, support, patience, and the people who quietly hold everything together behind the scenes.

Motherhood comes in many forms: mums, step mums, grandmothers, aunties, carers, mentors, pet mums, and the people who show up with love, guidance, and support every day. Today is for all of you.

Thank you for the role you play in creating happier, more connected communities and homes.

From all of us at Strata Plus, Happy Mother’s Day. 💛

Joshua Jasnos — 2026 Senior Strata Community Manager of the Year! 🏆

Thrilled to share that Josh has taken out the SCA Australasia Senior Strata Community Manager Award

If you've worked with Josh, you'll know exactly why. He's the person who picks up the phone at 7pm for a worried committee member, who somehow remembers every building's quirks, and who treats every client like they're his only client.

We've watched him mentor newer managers, push for better outcomes when the easy path was available, and consistently show up as someone our clients trust completely. That's not something you can fake — it's years of genuine commitment to this industry and the people in it.

Josh, we're so proud to have you on the team. This one's yours.

Congratulations from all of us at The Strata Plus Group. 👏

This ANZAC Day, Strata Plus pauses to honour and remember the courage, sacrifice and service of the Australian and New Zealand men and women who have served our countries.

We thank them for their dedication and reflect on the spirit of mateship, resilience and community that continues to shape us today.

Please note that our offices will be closed on Monday for the public holiday and will reopen as normal on Tuesday.

Yesterday, Strata Plus proudly joined ANTAR in supporting the Sea of Hands in the lead-up to National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week. Four of our team partnered with the ANTAR crew to prep more than 1,500 hands—removing stickers, cleaning them, and getting them ready for upcoming installations. We literally gave them a hand, and we were pretty HANDy today😉

This was a meaningful way to contribute to a powerful symbol of solidarity with First Nations peoples, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to support the important work ANTAR leads.

About the Sea of Hands

The Sea of Hands has been a symbol of solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, organisations and leaders on rights and reconciliation issues since 1997. Our first landmark installation outside Parliament House in Canberra on 12 October 1997 had 70,000 hands in the colours of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags.

⏰ Daylight Saving Ends This Weekend

Don't forget to wind your clocks back and ease into the extra hour…

Daylight saving comes to an end this weekend, which means a little more sleep, slower mornings and the perfect excuse to snuggle in. As you reset your clocks, it’s also a good time to check any timers, lighting or security systems around your building.

Enjoy the extra hour — you’ve earned it.

We love hearing feedback like this from our clients.

Changing strata managers can feel like a big decision, which is why our team works hard to make the transition smooth and deliver the level of service communities deserve.

This review comes from a building supported by our Central Sydney office. Thank you for trusting Strata Plus with your community.

What Does It Really Mean When a Strata Manager Is SCA Accredited?

Choosing a strata manager isn’t just about experience — it’s about professional standards, ethics, and accountability. That’s where Strata Community Australia (SCA) accreditation comes in.

SCA is the peak industry body for strata and community management across Australia and New Zealand, representing more than 3,000 professionals. Their national accreditation framework was created to give owners confidence, no matter which state they live in.

So why does SCA accreditation matter?
- Accredited managers must follow SCA’s Code of Conduct.
- Ongoing Managers are required to develop in their professional learning as legislation and best practice evolve.
- Accreditation recognises managers who meet defined industry standards.
- Accreditation includes formal application processes, fees, and (since 2021) mandatory Federal Police checks every 3 years.

It’s actually rare for an entire company to have all managers accredited — and it’s important not to confuse “credited” with accredited. Accreditation requires SCA membership first, and Strata Plus has always invested in ensuring every manager is eligible.
