This month, we took a trip to Italy 🇮🇹 with an incredible Italian-themed feast! 🍝🍕 From rich, comforting classics to fresh, vibrant flavours, it was a night to savour.

A big thank you to all our guests for your wonderful feedback — we’re so glad you enjoyed the experience as much as we loved putting it together.

Progress continues at the Torbanlea train manufacturing facility, with the main building now fully enclosed and crews moving ahead with internal fit-out, equipment testing and final landscaping.

Over the coming weeks, work will include sealing carparks and internal roads, completing the site security perimeter and commissioning lighting, signage and water systems. Installation and testing of specialist manufacturing equipment also remains underway inside the facility.

Along the North Coast rail line, signalling and track upgrades will take place during a planned Queensland Rail closure from 5 to 11 April, including track resurfacing. Residents may notice some noise, dust and vibration during these works, with corridor access via Gympie Street, Ritchie Road and Dundabarra Road.

Heavy vehicles will continue to enter from the Bruce Highway and exit via Ritchie Road, while light vehicles will use the Ritchie Road entrance as usual.

Information sessions will be held at The Cafe in Torbanlea on 16 April from 7–9am, and at the Urangan Bowls Club in Hervey Bay on 30 April from 12–3pm.

With Easter just around the corner, many of our workforce guests will be hitting the road to spend time with family and friends. It’s also one of the busiest (and riskiest) times on our roads.

For those of us in construction, safety isn’t just something we switch on at work—it’s a mindset we carry everywhere.

A few reminders before you head off:
🚧 Plan your trip and allow extra time
🚧 Take regular breaks—fatigue is a major risk
🚧 Stay within speed limits, especially in work zones
🚧 Avoid distractions—phones can wait
🚧 If towing or carrying loads, double-check everything before you leave

We look out for each other on-site—let’s do the same on the road.

Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable Easter break. Get there safely and come back ready for another big year ahead.
