But not enough on what happens in the 1-3 weeks right after the auction

An auction not selling does not always mean there are no buyers - it may just be that at that time the buyers - or the owners - were not ready to commit at that exact point in time

In this market, are there any properties that are selling quickly?

Since the Budget back in May, there is one standout property type seeing strong demand from buyers.

Apartments - especially in the "under $550,000" price point.

The buyer profile has stayed consistent - with 50% owner occupiers, and 50% investors.

Even with the changing rules for buying investment properties, the demand from investors is still consistent, and days on market are considerably less than any other category.

The first home buyers at this price level are ready to purchase and are very active in the market, and investors, despite the aims of the changes in the Budget, are still looking for value and rental yield.
