Congratulations to Richard Crookes Constructions’ M by Montefiore project team for being awarded the Excellence in Construction Award in the Lifestyle Living Over 55’s category at the Master Builders Association’s Excellence in Construction Awards held on Saturday night.

EDM is pleased to announce that the façade upgrade of Montefiore’s 276 bed RACF at their Randwick campus is now complete. The upgrade consisted of renewed panelling, colour backed glazing and painted masonry to the entire façade in tones in harmony with the recently completed luxury ILU facility, M by Montefiore. The works were successfully completed with minimal impact on operations in the live operating RACF through carefully planned and executed staging.

EDM is proud to announce that Uniting Hawkesbury Village – Richmond, has reached practical completion on the final stage of the development. This sees the completion of 37x new Independent Living Units (7x within the existing village), a new ILU Clubroom and RACF FOH extension (including a café, offices, salon, and porte-cochere), access and amenity upgrades (inclusive of elevated walkways, lifts, and 6x multi-car garages) to the existing village, new internal village roadways/pathways, onsite parking, and other associated civil infrastructure.

We would like to congratulate Uniting and PBS Building for their exceptional work during the entire project, for successfully stepping up to the challenge of undertaking this project in a live/operational environment, and for delivering an incredible product that the residents of this community will enjoy in the years to come.

EDM is pleased to again support Aliro Group as they partner with So They Can on their week-long 1,000 kilometre cycle across Tasmania as part of the Chain Reaction Challenge 2022.

The Aliro/So They Can team is topping the fundraising leader board at close to $198,000. Overall, the Sydney teams have so far raised approximately $750,000, which is well on their way to exceeding the target of $800,000.

So They Can is breaking the poverty cycle through education, achieving generational and sustainable change for children in Kenya and Tanzania, particularly young females. Their well-established, dedicated and highly professional local teams are having an incredibly positive impact on so many young lives and the communities in which they live. Thank you to all our clients, consultants, head contractors, and other associates for all their efforts in ensuring that business was able to continue to run as smoothly as possible over the past 18 months.

EDM was able to maintain productivity with minimal direct disruption due to COVID-19 by working remotely, while we acknowledge that some other businesses may not have been as fortunate.

The last 18 months have taught us collaborative skills which we will continue implementing now that we have moved back into the office.

With NSW having now reached over an 85% vaccination status we are optimistic about returning progressively to normality and look forward to catching up in person with all our clients and colleagues in the near future.
