I haven’t really had a chance to come up for air since being diagnosed with Bowel Cancer late last year.
From the moment I heard the words, my intuition told me everything was going to be okay - I was mentally and physically strong as I knew this was not the hardest thing I’d ever have to do in my lifetime.
The plan was chemo and radiation treatment, then surgery, then recover, and then I would come out the other side with a ‘I’m all good’ announcement!
Just over 4x weeks into chemo and radiation, I felt unstoppable. But just before Christmas, I knew something wasn’t right and was in unbearable pain.
An emergency admission turned into a rapid downhill spiral, resulting in a stressful emergency surgery on Christmas Day. What followed was a much bigger recovery than I ever anticipated.
But here we are.
Two weeks post-surgery and officially cleared to restart chemo and radiation next week.
Bring. It. On. 💪
This thing picked the wrong guy to try and take down. Harper showed me the true meaning of strength and resilience and I have channeled her every step of the way. I know she’s watching over me, making sure I’ve got this 🤍
To everyone who has reached out with love, messages and support — I can’t put into words how humble and grateful I am. The support around us has been overwhelming in the best way.
And to my number one, — you are nothing short of superwoman. I don’t know how you do what you do for me and our family, but I couldn’t do this without you.
I’ve watched a lot of New Year’s resolutions roll by lately, but for 2026, here’s to good health and happiness — because in the end, that’s all that really matters.
💕💪✨
