This is a project that really tested our resilience. It's 95% complete, looks pretty, and demand for it as an accommodation product has been encouraging. It's part of the amazing .
But it came with challenges we haven't experienced in 10 years. 80% over budget, stolen money (lots of it), changing markets, failed relationships, banking policy changes, 12 month over time, the list goes on and some challenges still remain.
HOWEVER, the positives always shine through, and our existing relationships are as strong as ever. Our portfolio is as vast as ever, and our motivation is as high as ever (so is our debt, haha, but that comes with the industry).
Nothing is possible without an amazing support team.
We wanted to give massive thanks to , , , .xox, .creative, certex approvals () , .plants, who consistently supported and motivated and who have been along for the ride long enough now.
Thanks to who wasn't the builder on this one, but stepped up when we needed them most, to help out. Thanks to .co, who did the same. Thanks to all the trades and people who have stuck it out and come along for the ride, good or bad. Our appreciation is immeasurable.
The toughest but most needed thanks is to the new and improved , which was the main cause for our pain, but in the end, assisted our survival. Jason was cheated out of a lot of money by his ex partner, fought through dark times, copped it on the chin, did the best he could with what he was handed, didn't throw the towel in and fold his business to run away from headaches, and in the end, has become like part of the family. We still have a long way to go, However, it's clear that Jason is a very honourable and trustworthy man who has put a lot before himself when he needed to.
For us, a combination of all of the above is enough to move onwards and upwards. We still have lots on the go and lots to complete. The best is yet to come!
