Another rate rise, we all saw it coming…

The RBA increased the cash rate by 0.25% to 4.10%. Why? Many reasons, but inflations is sitting around 3.8%, well above their target of 2–3%. Fun fact… did you know that the vote was 4 against and 5 for the increase. 🗳️

With each increase / decrease directly affecting only 1/3 of the population with changes to their mortgage repayments, it makes me wonder if this is an out dated system to some extent to get the rest the other 2/3 to slow spending.. thoughts?

Wait until the petrol price increase flows through in the next quarter’s numbers from Jan–March, which come through in April. ⛽️⛽️

So this 0.25% increase will see mortgage repayments increase from about $80 a month, depending on your loan amount.

$500k → $80/month
$800k → $125/month
$1M → $150/month
$1.5M → $225/month
$2M → $300/month

In Sydney, the median house price is around $1.6M–$1.8M. Most buyers are sitting around $800k–$1M for their loan.

That’s roughly $120–$160/month extra from this single increase. 💰💰

Property prices may start to shift also. At the start of the year, there was approx. 0.5% in Jan, and since then some areas have levelled out, with overall movement sitting around 0–1% so far in 2026.

If we get a few more rate rises, strategy will mean more than ever.📈

Every rate cycle creates opportunity — you just need to know where to look.

Calm before the rush👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Every staff member got to nominate what hospital they would like to donate their time to, I chose Nepean as we’ve had many a emergency visit🤦🏻‍♀️, including the time a drill nearly took out my husband’s eyball😱😱🫣 and a number of my nieces, nephews and stepdaughters were born. Thank you to all of the staff. Growing up I spent a lot of time in a theatre tea room as my parents were both operating theatre staff and did a lot of on call work, I have a very high appreciation and admiration for what these essential workers do for us All and it was nice to do something for them. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🥰🥳🥳😆

Castle Group has made it an annual tradition to host Christmas BBQs for health workers at public hospitals – it’s our way of saying thank you.

We’ve expanded these celebrations to four hospitals this year: Liverpool, Mount Druitt, Blacktown and Nepean Hospitals.
