Every now and then, you get to stop and take it all in.

Sydney on a beautiful day.

After all these years, I still love the inner city. The buildings, the streets, the views and all the little pockets you probably wouldn’t notice unless you spend your days wandering around them.

A pretty spectacular way to start the day at the One Circular Quay display suite, hosted by Lendlease.

This morning’s Power Breakfast brought together our network of offices for a great morning of ideas, conversation and collaboration.

It’s always valuable to step away from the day-to-day, share what’s working, challenge a few ideas and learn from the people around you. A few good conversations and plenty of fresh ideas to take back into the week.

That beautiful, natural stone across the bench and splashback. It gives the kitchen so much warmth and texture.

2. The timber
The open timber shelving softens everything and adds just the right amount of warmth against the cabinetry.

3. The lighting
The pendant lights and warm under-cabinet lighting. It makes the whole space feel incredibly inviting, especially at night.

Simple, warm and beautifully considered.

That’s my kind of kitchen.
