We are delighted to have had the opportunity to collaborate with the University of Adelaide and national charity, Tour de Cure on further research into stomach cancer.
The power of this joint effort has meant that the inital seed funding of $70,000 was matched by both parties amounting to a total of $210,000 towards this important cause.
“Their investment has given us this fantastic opportunity to work towards improving the lives of patients living with this terrible disease.” A/Prof Woods said.
A new project led by A/Prof Susi Woods has just been bolstered by $210,000 in funding thanks to the power of collaboration. The project was sparked by $70,000 in seed funding from building developer, Greaton, whose donation was matched by the The University of Adelaide and Tour de Cure Australia.
SAHMRI Executive Director, Prof Steve Wesselingh says it’s a great example of what can be achieved through the power of collaboration.
“Generosity like this from a corporate supporter like Greaton is the perfect catalyst for other parties to get on board and transform an idea into a potentially life-changing reality,” Prof Wesselingh said.
