Connection starts right at home ☕🩷

Our Community Engagement Coordinator, Frankie, and a group of social work students recently visited one of our Inner West properties for our new block engagement program.

Designed to support properties with predominantly older women (65+), the morning was spent sharing tea, chatting and handing out gift bags generously donated by Keune Haircosmetics (Australia & New Zealand)

Frankie reflected on the visit:

"The women were really happy to see us there. They said they receive our texts and emails about community events, but are often not able to travel. So, they were very happy that we came to visit them."

A group of WHC tenants recently enjoyed a special styling event with Thread Together.

Over morning tea, the women received one-on-one styling support and selected two complete outfits, along with shoes and accessories to take home.

The event proved incredibly popular, with a long waitlist and lots of positive feedback from those who attended. We're now exploring the possibility of another WHC-exclusive styling session later this year.

Thanks to generous funding and support from SCT Consulting, a brand-new solar panel system has officially been installed at one of our Southwest Sydney blocks. This is the second system SCT Consulting has donated and we're already preparing for a third installation.

What does this mean?

Our community engagement team headed out to one of our properties in Sydney's Inner West – bringing good vibes, hot drinks and delicious pastries from The Bread & Butter Project

It was so wonderful sitting down with everyone to chat about their stories, the block and general life. The energy was amazing, and everyone was super excited to receive their Keune Haircosmetics (Australia & New Zealand) goodies!
