Update: I have now confirmed that the correct Helen who is the subject of “Helen’s Way” is in fact Helen Kinch, whose husband Fred had requested the sign in her honour after their push to have the footpath installed for easier access to the shops. I’m pleased we now have that straight, but I enjoyed finding the lovely poem about “the other Helen” along the way.
