Buying a home in this market is scary so here are some of my tips
1) Get great financial advice - your mortgage broker should be on your speed dial favourites.
2) Be prepared for a long term investment. Interest rates may go up, we just don’t know where this is all going to peak to be prepared to play the long game.
3) Invest in your primary place of residence - if the new CGT laws are still in play after the next election it will be a game changer.
4) Buy what you can afford - the ROI in property (long term) is way better than any bank savings and most superannuation returns.
5) Do your homework - how do you want your life to look in 2, 5 and 10 years time?
Finally - work with people you trust impeccably - you invest up to 70% of your net worth into your property - don’t waste that opportunity.
