Something sweet! I‘ve recently listed a property whose owner is an amazing bee enthusiast. I have learnt so much about bees and the whole honey harvest process. It’s been a real education! I love a good rags to riches story, don’t you?
Last year, I flipped a house at 45-47 Macdonnell Rd, which we named ‘Chateau Petite’. We broke sales records on that property and as a consequence it impacted the whole street. During that time I got to know the lovely lady across the street at ‘Wits End’. A year on and I’ve just sold her property.

When she purchased this house, it was a shell of chaos and grime. Over the years she has transformed it into a cute, French style cottage with sweeping decks, hardwood floorboards and French doors. And let’s not forget the magical gardens she’s created with exotic and flowering trees and shrubs! It really was a labour of love, so as her departing gift, a made this ‘before and after’ memoir for her to take with her, as a dedication to what she achieved and made a home.

I have had the privilege of really getting to know Mandy. She has lived such an extraordinary life, from plane gliding to desert artistry. She has a wealth of stories and to be honest, I’m going to miss being able to just ‘pop in for a chat’!

Selling someone’s house is personal - it’s not simply a transaction, not for me anyway.
