Just a short drive from Tin Can Bay, Carlo Sand Blow is one of those places that really needs to be seen to be appreciated.

Take the short, well-defined walk through the bush and rainforest before stepping out onto the spectacular expanse of golden sand dunes. From the top, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views across Rainbow Beach, the ocean, K’gari and the beautiful Cooloola Coast. 🌊

🌅 Sunrise and sunset are particularly magical – the colours, the sand and the ocean views make it a beautiful spot to take in the scenery.

And if you’ve got the kids with you, take a boogie board or sandboard and have some fun sliding down the dunes! 🏄‍♀️🏖️ You may even get to watch the paragliders launching from the sand blow. 🪂

The walk from the car park is generally only around 5–15 minutes, although there are some stairs, so take some water with you, particularly on warmer days. The sand can also get very hot, so footwear is a good idea.

The Tin Can Bay Wildflower Walk is a gentle 1.5km stroll along Schnapper Creek, taking you from the corner of Emperor & Bass Streets through to Ronald Bielby Park.

As spring arrives, the coastal heath and woodland really come alive, with native orchids, wattles, banksias and wildflowers adding splashes of colour along the way. 🌼🌺 Keep your eyes open for the beautiful birdlife that calls this area home too! 🐦
