๐ Well, that was certainly a productive, eventful & exhausting weekend! ๐
๐ Arriving Friday night, our farming started with corralling 2 escapee goats back into the paddock, and rescuing 3 who had got their heads caught in the fence!
๐ฆ That night we were woken by a tiny bat flying around the van, & in the morning a huntsman crawled across the bed - while I was still in it!!! ๐ณ
๐งโ๐พ Sean set to work preparing two pads for the new water tanks to be delivered next week, and did an amazing job getting them both done in such a short period of time!
๐ I began mowing the very long grass - thanks to Mother Natures combo of lots of rain followed by lots of sun! Whilst on the mower, I got stung on the chin by a bee & in the flurry that occurred, flung off & ran over my very good $9 sunnies from Kmart! My chin was fine yesterday afternoon, but this morning I woke up with a swollen, red, hot and hard chin - now looking like Buzz Lightyears sister!!! ๐ Hades went out in sympathy this afternoon & for whatever reason, his eyes are now puffy too!
I still managed to mow the 2nd paddock for the goats & build them a little crossing where the land is really boggy - precious things donโt like to get their feet wet!
๐ฒ We also had Matt from DignIt out, mulching through the black wattle & clearing paths for us to do more fencing in the future.
In other news, the Pondabooza obstacle course (aka perimeter of the farm) is 2.7km long, the dam is full & looking amazing, corn is popping up randomly in the field, blackberries not quite ready for picking, Roos came exceptionally close to the shed while we were having dinner, the natives we planted are going strong, the orchard is looking great!
๐ดFinally, on this last exhausted note, Iโd like to give a MASSIVE shout out to Russ & Deb for delivering materials during the week & lending Sean the tractor to move it around! Also a shout out to for lending us the right tools for the job as always! Without the help of these peeps we would never have gotten it all done! โบ๏ธ
