Today David Snow finishes up after an incredible 42 years in real estate.

I was lucky enough to spend around 10 of those years working with David and his family at Peter Snow & Co, and looking back, I don’t think I fully appreciated at the time just how fortunate I was.

David is genuinely one of life’s true gentlemen. In all the years I’ve known him, he has been incredibly generous with his time, his knowledge and his support. He was a fantastic boss, but somewhere along the way he also became a great friend and mentor.

I learned an enormous amount from David about real estate and running a business, but probably even more about how to treat people. A lot of the values I try to bring to our own business today were shaped during those years working alongside him.

And his contribution to Toowoomba goes well beyond real estate. David has given decades of his time to Rotary and to the wider community, usually without wanting any recognition for it. That’s just the sort of person he is.

Congratulations on an extraordinary 42 years, David. You’ve built a career and reputation to be incredibly proud of, and you’ve had a positive impact on far more people than you probably realise.

I also know you’re probably going to hate me making a fuss of you with this post, so I’ll leave it there.

Now go home and work on that swing. ⛳
