Display Home Mascot 🦅

If you've visited the Cadel Evans display homes recently, you've probably noticed our latest resident! Don't be alarmed - this magpie is super friendly.

He is usually found on the light posts, hanging out on the mailbox, or getting a drink from the storm water drains 🚰 He even flies down to say "good morning" most days I arrive at work 😁🏡

While he loves getting a feed from locals, please remember bread is no good for birds 🫣

What I’ve been up to this week… ✍🏼🏡

It’s been a big one! Two amazing custom builds officially signed, both so different — and both so perfectly tailored to the people behind them.

💄 Kearneys Spring:
Michelle & Kyle are building their first home and have absolutely nailed the brief with a custom design that suits them to a tee.
💼 Kyle’s home office
💅 Michelle’s fully fitted beauty salon
🛋️ Private bedrooms and entertaining areas tucked away at the rear
All squeezed onto a unique block with a layout that delivers big on both lifestyle and street appeal. It’s business at the front, party at the back — and I’m so excited to see it come together.

🔨 Withcott:
This project started in the most unexpected way… in an Uber of all places! The client noticed I was glued to my laptop (on my way to a hair appointment, no less) and asked what I do for work that keeps me so busy. Now here we are, with a forever home about to begin construction!
Their new home is inspired by their Mum’s design, with updates to suit their family and a seriously tricky block — we’re importing 500m³ of fill and doing a 2m cut/fill just to create the pad. It’s the steepest site I’ve worked on yet… and it’s going to be incredible. Can’t wait to get the timelapse going on this one!

It’s always such a privilege to help turn these dream-home visions into real contracts, real builds, real memories. 💛

CONTRACT SIGNED – CUSTOM GRANNY FLAT IN KINGSTHORPE 🏡

Sending a big congratulations to our lovely clients on officially signing for this fully custom Granny Flat build in Kingsthorpe — created directly from their own sketch!

It’s such a rewarding feeling taking someone’s hand-drawn ideas and helping them transform it into a full, liveable home on paper. From the spacious open-plan living and kitchen, to the generous alfresco with feature gable, and even an attached carport to match – every corner of this layout has been tailored with thought and care.

Some standout features include:
✔️ Suspended vanity + stone benchtops throughout
✔️ Step-free accessibility and thoughtful design flow
✔️ A huge 7x3m alfresco to enjoy those breezy afternoons
✔️ And full future allowance for a new main dwelling down the track!

We can’t wait to bring this one to life – it’s going to be a beautiful addition to their property and an incredibly functional space for years to come 💛

CONTRACT SIGNED – FOREVER HOME LOADING 🏡

A big congratulations to Rick, Melissa and their beautiful family on officially locking in their dream build out at Kensington Grove!

This custom-designed home is everything a forever home should be – tailored to suit the family’s lifestyle with large open living zones, separate spaces for everyone to relax, and gorgeous rural outlooks across the block. The master suite is tucked away like a private retreat, the kids have their own wing, and there’s even a spot that’s perfect for a pool down the track. Oh, and how could I forget – the epic shed out the back for Dad! 💪

It’s been such a pleasure helping bring this vision to life from the very first ideas to a full custom plan on paper, and I can’t wait to see it take shape onsite.
