The latest data from realestate.com.au has highlighted some interesting signs of resilience across the Greater Geelong property market.
According to the latest REA analysis, the typical house in Greater Geelong is currently taking 32 days to sell, compared with 43 days at the same time last year.
Some suburbs are moving even faster, with Bell Post Hill recording a median of just 15 days on market in August, while Newcomb and Marshall were around 18 days.
The data also highlights strong activity in the more affordable segments of the market, while higher-value areas remain more price-sensitive.
📍 What does this mean for buyers and sellers?
For buyers, it’s a reminder that well-priced properties can still attract strong competition.
For sellers, it reinforces the importance of getting the pricing, presentation and marketing strategy right from the beginning.
And across the Geelong, Surf Coast and coastal markets, local conditions can vary significantly from suburb to suburb so understanding what's happening in your specific area is key.
