Fun for all the family! From 1pm this Saturday, get along, you're sure to have a good time....

There's free fun for the kids this Saturday at Tuggeranong Arts Centre's Silvery Moon Festival. From 1pm, enjoy face painting, art activities and live music. When Mr Tim and the Fuzzy Elbows step onto the lakefront stage, they'll take children and parents alike on a high energy adventure full of spontaneous creativity, crazy drama acts and exciting original songs that will have them singing and dancing in no time! Inspired by “The Muppets” and “Sesame Street” ideals of sophisticated music with lyrics that connect to young people, they will excite and delight with their combination of folk, rock, funk, a little touch of country and what can only be described as a hypnotic Transylvanian polka. Did somebody say FREE dance classes? Between Wednesday October 28th-Thursday November 7th, the Tuggeranong Arts Centre will be hosting a vast cultural array of dance workshops, accompanied by costume making workshops and film/theater pieces. Check out the program on offer below....

Celebrate Silver Linings, marking Tuggeranong Community Arts 25th birthday, by taking part in a series of FREE DANCE TUTORIALS. One-hour weeknight classes, in Nepalese, Filipino, Brazilian, Middle-Eastern and Bollywood styles run from 28 October to November 5. Learn the basic steps and then perform a simple routine at the Silvery Moon Festival on Sat 7 Nov. After each tutorial we invite you to a free costume workshop and film screening. If you're out and about this Saturday, come on down and bring the kids to TACs Hyperdome shopfront on Anketell Street between 12-2pm for a series of FREE kids art workshops!

Silver Linings invites you to “stay & play” this Saturday. Take a break from shopping or sport and enjoy a series of FREE kids art workshops between 12-2pm on Saturday the 10th and Saturday 17th October. These free facilitated art workshops, offering origami animals, corflute sculptures and kite making, are being held at TACs Hyperdome shopfont on Anketell Street. The artworks created will form part of The Universe Alight, a large- scale art installation for the Silvery Moon Festival on Saturday 7 November. The result will be a cosmos of creativity spreading across the lawns, through the trees and suspended from the gazebos on the lakefront adjacent to Tuggeranong Arts Centre.
The Saturday sessions are designed for children aged 6 to 11 years old and will run for approximately 20-30 minutes. Parents are required to stay with their children for the duration of the session and there will be Playdough and a few other simple things for younger members of the family to enjoy. No bookings required, just drop in! These free activates are being held as part of Tuggeranong Arts Centre’s Silver Linings Festival - 11 days of fun, colour and movement for the community to get involved with to celebrate 25 years of art making in Tuggeranong.

Free adult art making workshops throughout October are also on offer, as well as: dance, film, theatre, exhibitions and music.
